We visited The Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY. Wow, wow, holy cow!!! If you haven’t been, you need to go! This was amazing.
We walked through beautiful gardens to arrive at the entrance to the museum.
The premise of the museum is to introduce The 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, Consummation.
We watched the 4-D short, Six Days. You get battery-powered 3-D glasses to watch. The 4th D is the rumbling seats, puffs of air, and bumps in your seat. 😊 It’s the six days of Creation, narrated word-for-word from Genesis Ch 1. It’s about the most incredible movie I’ve ever seen. We watched it again the same afternoon.
Live-action figures, narrated or posed, showed Adam, Eve, Noah, and other Bible characters.
Got questions about how the earth was changed after the flood? What happened to the dinosaurs? How did culture change after Babel? The answers are in Genesis.
And, we serve a God of hope. He always did love us, always did promise a Savior – Himself, His Son.
If you can make this trip, I highly recommend it!
A friend and I were planning on going there last year and then weren’t able to. Thanks for sharing, we’ll have to replan now after seeing this. 🙂

Oh? Well, I’m kinda wishing we’d bought the longer movie it was part of. Maybe it’ll also be for sale at the Ark Encounter tomorrow.

Since I use the Answers in Genesis curriculum for my Sunday School, I have a poster of the 7 C’s and we refer to it frequently during the lessons.

It’s an excellent portrayal of God and our need of Him; and of His redemption.

Kathy, that 4D movie of Creation sounds life-changing. Thank you for sharing about this museum. We still haven’t been to the Museum of the Bible in D.C. … that’s fairly close.

We hope to get to that! I think the DVD with the Six Days is available on their website, or maybe the Answers in Genesis website. The DVD is called Genesis, Paradise Lost, and the Six Days is contained within it.

A few years ago, my wife and I took two of our grandchildren to the Creation Museum and the Newport Aquarium. Both places were well worth the trip.
Thanks for reminding me of these past visits. I would do both again.
